March 2020 was one of those months we’ll all remember. Early in the month, life was seemingly normal. Middle of the month, we started the awkward elbow bump. By the end of the month, we were in full lock down and businesses were impacted.

Last year at our ‘How SMBs stay competitive in today’s digital world’ event, Marty Fox from WHITEFOX and Sean Beaumont from Microsoft stressed the ability to adapt to your marketplace as key to success in the future.

We want to take a moment to support and highlight the adaptability of our customers in food & hospitality who have pivoted their business models in a very short time frame.

Vue de monde logo

Vue Group launched Vue to you – vuetoyou.com.au

Just over two weeks ago, all restaurants in Melbourne were told they could only offer delivery and takeaway services. For highly acclaimed Vue de monde, this meant that the stunning restaurant on Level 55 had to close.

Reborn as Vue to you, you can now order meals online for delivery within 10km from the CBD.

No more 3 month waiting list and affordable options means Vue de monde has now become much more accessible. Not to mention, you can also order baked goods like croissants and hot cross buns from Shannon Bennett’s Burnham Bakery.

Additionally, to help everyone stuck at home, Vue to you have launched a cook at home series where Executive Chef Hugh Allen will teach you how to cook some of Vue de monde’s famous dishes, starting with that yummy looking chocolate souffle pictured below… Getting it to look like Hugh’s will definitely keep you busy!

Tamby Foods launched takeaway meals – tambypartyfoods.com.au

Local small business Tamby Foods were primarily in wholesale, distributing their delicious curry puffs to restaurants and supermarkets around Australia.

In response to the slow down in restauranting, Tamby Foods have ramped up their direct to consumer business from their shop at 16 Aileen Avenue, Heidelberg West in Victoria.

This means you can now stock up on frozen foods directly from them instead!

Not only that, Tamby Foods have pivoted to launch takeaway meals serving authentic curries that are definitely worth checking out! Just look at the pictures below… yum.

Our customers’ ability to adapt to the rapidly changing market conditions is impressive and they deserve our full support.
